Enhancing Voluntary & Public Sector Partnerships in Nottinghamshire

Thriving Third Sector Working Group

The Thriving Third Sector Working Group was established under the Nottinghamshire Partnership theme of ‘Strong Sense of Place’ and is primarily concerned with the National Indicator ‘Creating an Environment for a Thriving Third Sector’.

The group meets monthly and has partners working on it from many of the County CVS’s (Councils for Voluntary Service), voluntary organisations, the county council, local & borough councils, the PCT, Police & the Fire & Rescue Service.

The group is working on various projects such as establishing the Nottinghamshire Compact, developing a local survey to investigate the level of support for the voluntary sector within the county and establishing specific task groups in order to meet some of the objectives of the ‘Creating an Environment for a Thriving Third Sector.’
