Enhancing Voluntary & Public Sector Partnerships in Nottinghamshire

The Nottinghamshire Partnership

The Nottinghamshire Partnership is the Local Area Agreement (LAA) in Nottinghamshire.

LAA’s were set up nationally in 2004 and are formal agreements between the Local Authority (County Council) and statutory organisations such as the Primary Care Trust (PCT), Police and Fire and Rescue and the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS). This enables partners to work more effectively together, share the decision making process and have a say in how local services are planned and delivered.

Within the Nottinghamshire Partnership there are 6 themes. These are: Children, Health & Well being, Sustainability, Thriving Economy, Strong Sense of Place, A Safer Place to Live. Under each theme there are a number of National Indicators or targets that theme groups work on to achieve within the county.
