Enhancing Voluntary & Public Sector Partnerships in Nottinghamshire

Voluntary sector partnerships

Working closely with Nottinghamshire County Council, the Nottinghamshire Local Area Agreement (LAA) Voluntary Sector (VCS) Partnership Officer at NAVO helps to develop partnership working between voluntary sector organisations and statutory partners, specifically around the Nottinghamshire Partnership (LAA) targets.

Key roles of the Nottinghamshire LAA VCS Partnership Officer are to:

- Work with Nottinghamshire County Council LAA Theme Managers to raise awareness of the need for the voluntary sector to be consulted with when planning service provision.

- Work with voluntary sector organisations, in particular, infrastructure organisations, to ensure that they are aware of the LAA and its targets.

- Promote and facilitate the establishment of voluntary sector representatives on LAA boards and forums.

- Disseminate and cascade information about the LAA throughout the voluntary sector.
