Enhancing Voluntary & Public Sector Partnerships in Nottinghamshire

District Representatives

Local Strategic Partnerships

Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs) operate across the County of Nottinghamshire as multi agency, umbrella partnerships that include all sectors of society (public, private, community and voluntary). Members of the LSPs work together to improve the quality of life in a particular area. The Government sees the LSPs as the key means to improve how services are coordinated so that improvements can be made.

There are seven Local Strategic Partnerships covering each of the seven districts of Nottinghamshire and led by the relevant district or borough council.

Each LSP has established a Children and Young People’s Sub Group. These groups are responsible for coordinating developments for children, young people and families in the district. There are currently six LSP Children and Young People’s Groups in Nottinghamshire (Mansfield & Ashfield are combined).

Aims of the District Representatives

To ensure that the views of the voluntary and community sector inform and influence the decisions of the Strategic Partnership so that services are improved for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable members of communities in Nottinghamshire.
